FIELD VISIT REPORT – SATV DEPARTMENT
Field Visit Report – SATV Department (12 & 13 Feb 2026)
The SATV Department conducted a two-day academic field visit with 5 faculty members and 27 students.
On 12.02.2026, the team visited Arulmigu Palani Temple, Palani Devasthanam Siddha Hospital, Bogar Samathi, and Pulippani Ashramam. At Palani Devasthanam Siddha Hospital, students attended a lecture and gained clinical insights into Siddha practices. At Pulippani Ashramam, students attended a lecture and observed the Navapasanam, its kattu (protective structure), and palm leaf manuscripts, enriching their understanding of Siddha heritage and traditional knowledge.
Day 2 – 13.02.2026
The team visited Aaliyar Arivu Thirukovil. The visit enriched students’ knowledge regarding spiritual wisdom, self-realization principles, and value-based living. The exposure strengthened their understanding of the moral and philosophical concepts emphasized in Siddha literature.
The field visit was highly informative and beneficial. Students actively participated and showed keen interest throughout the program. The objectives of experiential learning and value-based education were successfully achieved.
