EDUCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO AAVIN MILK FACTORY BY THE DEPARTMENT OF NOI ANUGHA VIDHI OZHUKKAM
Educational Industrial Visit to Aavin Milk Factory, Pachapalayam, Coimbatore
The Department of Noi Anugha Vidhi Ozhukkam (NAVO), RVS Siddha Medical College & Hospital, organized an educational industrial visit to the Aavin Milk Factory, Pachapalayam, Coimbatore, on 10 July 2026. A total of 29 students accompanied by 3 faculty members participated in the visit.
The visit offered students valuable hands-on exposure to the dairy industry's modern processing techniques and quality assurance systems. Students observed the complete milk processing chain, including milk procurement, quality testing, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, cold storage, and distribution. They also learned about the stringent hygiene, sanitation, and food safety measures adopted to ensure the production of safe and nutritious milk and milk products.
The technical experts at Aavin explained the importance of quality control, laboratory testing, and adherence to food safety standards, enabling students to connect classroom concepts of public health, food hygiene, nutrition, and preventive medicine with real-world industrial practices.
