Field Visit Report – SATV Department
The Department of SATV organized an educational field visit on 07.05.2025 to Maruthamalai, Pampatti Siddhar Meditative Place, and Korakkar Samathi at Perur Patteshwarar temple, Coimbatore.
A total of 30 first professional students accompanied by 4 faculty members participated in this insightful trip. The visit aimed to provide students with experiential learning about the spiritual, cultural, and historical significance of these sacred sites.
At Maruthamalai, students explored the temple’s ancient architecture and learned about its connection with traditional Siddha practices. The visit to Pampatti Siddhar's meditation site offered a serene environment to understand the roots of yoga and meditation traditions. The final stop at Korakkar Samathi, Perur, deepened their understanding of the Siddhar lineage and its contribution to holistic healing and spirituality.
The field visit was both educational and spiritually enriching, offering students a unique opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with cultural heritage.
