WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK CELEBRATIONS 2025
The Breastfeeding Awareness Program was conducted on 8th August 2025 at Kadambaadi Village with the aim of promoting the importance of breastfeeding among mothers, pregnant women, and caregivers. The program was organized as part of the World Breastfeeding Week celebrations to emphasize the theme of “Enabling breastfeeding: Making a difference for working parents.”
Objectives
To create awareness about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months.
To educate mothers about correct breastfeeding techniques and positions.
To dispel common myths and misconceptions related to breastfeeding.
To promote community support for breastfeeding mothers.
Program Highlights
The session began with a welcome address by Dr.Saravanan sir, followed by an introductory talk on the importance of breastfeeding for infant and maternal health.
Health education talks were delivered by healthcare professionals, highlighting the nutritional, immunological, and emotional benefits of breastfeeding.
Pamphlets and posters with key messages on breastfeeding were distributed to participants.
